What is the difference between OSP and ISP fiber?

Outside plant (OSP) fiber runs outdoors, underground or aerial, connecting buildings and sites. Inside plant (ISP) fiber runs within a building, connecting telecom rooms, server rooms and equipment. Many projects need both, and we install both.

Should I use single-mode or multimode fiber?

Multimode is common for shorter runs inside a building or equipment room. Single-mode supports much longer distances and more bandwidth growth, so it is the usual choice for campus backbones and building-to-building links. We help match the fiber type to your distances and equipment.

Do you install underground and aerial fiber?

Yes. We handle trenching, conduit and manhole routing for underground runs, and we install aerial fiber, including OSP and aerial work for the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Can you connect multiple buildings on a campus?

Yes. We plan and install fiber between buildings on commercial, research and government campuses, including new conduit pathway where it is needed.

Can you work in active or secure facilities?

Yes. We install fiber in active facilities and high-security environments, including federal correctional facilities.

Do you also install data cabling and CCTV infrastructure?

Yes. Along with fiber, we install structured data cabling for offices and server rooms plus CCTV and security infrastructure, so one contractor can handle the full low voltage scope.

Do you repair cut or damaged fiber?

Yes. We locate damaged sections, re-splice or replace the affected cable and retest the link so your network is back in service with documented results.

Do you offer a site survey before quoting?

Yes. We offer a free site survey for fiber projects in San Diego County so we can confirm pathways, distances and splice points before we price the job.

Outside Plant (OSP) Fiber Installation

Outside plant fiber connects buildings, campuses and sites. We install underground conduit and fiber between buildings, route cable through manholes and build aerial fiber runs, including OSP and aerial fiber for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. That makes us a fit for multi-building campuses, secure facilities and sites where new pathway has to be built before fiber can be pulled.

Our crews install conduit, inner duct and hand holes to build protected pathway for new fiber.

Inside Plant (ISP) Fiber and Backbone Cabling

Inside the building, we install fiber backbone and riser cabling between the main distribution frame (MDF), intermediate distribution frames (IDFs), server rooms and work areas. For copper network cabling, see our structured and data cabling services.

Fusion Splicing, Testing and Certification

We fusion splice and terminate single-mode and multimode fiber, then test and certify every link and hand over documented results so your network meets performance and warranty requirements.

We certify links with both OLTS (Tier 1) loss testing and OTDR (Tier 2) testing, so you get loss measurements and a trace showing every splice and connector along the run.

We install OS2 single-mode and OM3, OM4 and OM5 multimode fiber, with LC, SC and ST terminations.
